Peter Rees

Peter is a legal expert with over 40 years experience. A company law specialist, each matter receives his personal attention so that you can have confidence in the advice that you receive.

A prize winner at Law School and the first solicitor to qualify as an Insolvency Practitioner through the JIEB route, Peter spent nearly nearly 30 years working in City law firms. During his time in the City, Peter acted as the adviser to Lord David Hunt, the then opposition leader in the House of Lords on the passage of the Enterprise Bill (later then Enterprise Act) 2002. The particular points of concern and debate were the priority of statutory objectives which, at the time, was felt to fetter secured lenders’ recovery options with possible consequential impacts on future lending policy. The procedure for appointing an administrator was also of concern as if they did not respond sufficiently quickly, secured lenders would lose their right of appointment.

Peter Set up his own practice, Isca Legal in 2008. By having his own practice, Peter is able to take a much more flexible approach to the benefit of his clients.
